TWENTY ANGOLAN KWANZAS Coin's year- 1978 Country- Angola Year of mintage- 1978 Hi friends. I know that I'm posting after a long time. Sorry for not being regular. This is my  20 Angolan Kwanzas coin. I got this coin about 6 months ago from my neighbor. This coin is one the first coins of the Angolan Kwanza currency. Angola got independence from the Portuguese on 11th November 1975. Soon after independence Kwanza was introduced. The name Kwanza derives its name from the river Kwanza. Like my other coins in my collection this coin has also got some historical importance. This coin reminds me about the civil war in Angola. Lets come to the specs. This coin is copper-nickel coin is circular and has a diameter of 29.1mm. The thickness is about 1.9mm and the edge is reeded.  The coin weighs about 10 g. Half South African Cent Hi friends this is my half South African cent coin. My coin was minted in 1961.  The South African 1/2 cent coin was minted during the years 1961 to 1964. The face value of this coin is 0.5 cent which is equal to 0.005 South African Rand. I personally loved the coin's cape sparrow engraving. I bought this coin last year.          The Rand was introduced in the then Union of South Africa on 14th February 1961 shortly before the establishment of the Republic of South Africa on 31st May 1961. The first series of coins introduced were of the denominations - 1/2 cent, 1 cent, 2.5 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents and 50 cents. All of these coins bear the portrait of Jan Van Riebeek on the coin's obverse side. Jan Van Riebeek (21 April 1619 - 18 January 1677 ) was a Dutch navigator and Dutch colonial administrator. ONE QUARTER ANNA - GEORGE V COUNTRY- British India COIN'S YEAR- 1917 YEARS OF MINTAGE- 1912 - 1936 Hi friends. This is my one quarter Indian Anna coin. This coin is just a century old. First of all I would like tell you the value of one quarter Anna. 1/4 Anna = 1 Pice = 1/64 Indian Rupee. I got this coin from my grandpa when I was a sixth grader. This bronze coin weighs 4.72 g , has a diameter of 25.4 mm, and has a thickness of 1.35 mm. Its edge is smooth. The obverse side has the portrait of King George V crowned head left and has the lettering - "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR". The reverse side has the denomination and the coin's year within a circle of beads wreath( an arrangement of flowers, leaves, or stems fastened in a ring and used for decoration ) and a toothed rim surrounds it. TWENTY VIETNAMESE SU  Coin's year-1953 Country- South Vietnam  Year of mintage- 1953 Hi friends. This my 20 Su coin from Vietnam. Like the Deutsche mark coin this coin has also got some historical importance. This coin was one of the first coins of the South Vietnamese Dong. 1 Dong was subdivided into 100 Su. The mintage of 10 Su, 20 Su and 50 Su coins started in 1953. Till 1955 dual currency system was practiced in South Vietnam. Both French Indochinese Piastre and Dong were used till 1955. The Dong was used in parts of Vietnam which was not under the control of communist forces till 1954. From 1955 the Dong became the official currency of South Vietnam, which was created after the partition of the state of Vietnam. This coin was used till 1975. In 1975 South Vietnam was defeated by North Vietnam and a new currency was introduced. Fifty Australian Cents (WW2 Remembrance) Coin's year-2005 Country- Australia Year of mintage-2005 Type-Circulating commemorative coin Hi friends, this is my Australian 50 cents coin. This coin was released in the year 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the world war II. This dodecagonal (12 sides) coin really huge with a diameter of 31.5 mm. The thickness is 2.55mm. This coin is quite heavy with a weight of 15.55g. I love this coin as it has a very beautiful design. The obverse side has the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing the right side. The reverse side has soldiers and a military cemetery scene and has the lettering- World War 1939-1945  Remembrance on the top and Fifty cents on the bottom. This coin reminds me of the darkest days of humanity.  The casualties, bloodshed, screams, children getting orphaned, women getting widowed during the war symbolizes how greedy we fellow beings are. 1 DEUTSCHE MARK COIN'S YEAR- 1954 COUNTRY- West Germany (till 1990), Germany (1990-2002) YEARS- 1950-2001 Hi friends this my 1 deutsche mark coin. This coin is absolutely amazing to see. My 1 mark coin is more than a fifty years old. But I got this coin only a few years ago. I don't even remember how I got this coin. But I know that this coin is truly valuable. This coin's value is 1 Mark. Mark was the former currency of  Germany before the Euro was introduced. This coin is in existence from 1950. Its shocking to realize that this coin has travelled through history and has come to my hands. Firstly this coin was a legal tender in West Germany till 1990 till the unification of Germany. After 1990 this was a legal in the unified Germany till 2001. This coin was demonetized on 12-31-2001.  Let's come to the specifications.
