Hi friends this my 1 deutsche mark coin. This coin is absolutely amazing to see. My 1 mark coin is more than a fifty years old. But I got this coin only a few years ago. I don't even remember how I got this coin. But I know that this coin is truly valuable. This coin's value is 1 Mark. Mark was the former currency of  Germany before the Euro was introduced. This coin is in existence from 1950. Its shocking to realize that this coin has travelled through history and has come to my hands. Firstly this coin was a legal tender in West Germany till 1990 till the unification of Germany. After 1990 this was a legal in the unified Germany till 2001. This coin was demonetized on 12-31-2001.  Let's come to the specifications. The diameter of this coin is 23.5mm , the thickness in 1.75mm, the weight is 5.5g and it is made up of copper-nickel. The coin in its reverse has two oak branches on either side of its facial value. It  has  the lettering - Deutsche mark and its year below the facial value. The edge is smooth with imprints. This coin has the mintmark F which means that this coin was minted in Stuttgart. The  mintage of this coin in Stuttgart in the year 1954 was about 6,000,000. So to conclude I want to say that I'm truly happy and I feel lucky to have this coin in my collection. Thank You for spending your valuable time in reading my blog. THANK YOU.
