One Quarter British-Indian Anna
ONE QUARTER ANNA - GEORGE V COUNTRY- British India COIN'S YEAR- 1917 YEARS OF MINTAGE- 1912 - 1936 Hi friends. This is my one quarter Indian Anna coin. This coin is just a century old. First of all I would like tell you the value of one quarter Anna. 1/4 Anna = 1 Pice = 1/64 Indian Rupee. I got this coin from my grandpa when I was a sixth grader. This bronze coin weighs 4.72 g , has a diameter of 25.4 mm, and has a thickness of 1.35 mm. Its edge is smooth. The obverse side has the portrait of King George V crowned head left and has the lettering - "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR". The reverse side has the denomination and the coin's year within a circle of beads wreath( an arrangement of flowers, leaves, or stems fastened in a ring and used for decoration ) and a toothed rim surrounds it.
